Make SEO a Product

Why SEO should be a prouct

We recently came across an interesting article on an Online Marketing Industry website that outlined why SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) should be classed as a product. It sparked our interest because SEO is a large part of our offering, however clients sometimes struggle to understand and ultimately see the benefit in SEO as they see it as a “dark art” that they can’t fully quantify.

The writer of the article looks at the reasons she thinks SEO should be taken more seriously by businesses in that if you class SEO as a product then it means that the business then implements a product management approach and implements a “Product-Led SEO strategy” which then focuses on two main customers “search engines and people” as web or marketing managers tend to focus purely on the customer. If you take a Product-Led SEO approach you start to implement strategies that greatly benefit your business.

We don’t want to duplicate this article, the purpose of this blog post is to give a small insight in how SEO is changing and constantly developing, not only in the way we do the tech (geeky) bits but also how it is viewed by the industry and ultimately the businesses that employ this service to drive customers who are actively looking for your product or service to your site and generating that golden lead.

Every time we speak to a new or existing client our focus is on knowing your business better and how we can increase your site's prominence in search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo to name the top 3. We have always seen SEO as a product that we offer our clients and we have managed to achieve great results for the clients who also see it as a vital product for their business.
